Brien Shamp has 25 years of experience as a body transformation expert, boot camp coach, personal trainer, nutrition and lifestyle coach, massage therapist, strength coach, and a Reiki practitioner.
Brien holds a BS in exercise science with an emphasis in biomechanics from UC Davis and completed extensive graduate studies in exercise physiology and adapted physical education at San Francisco State University.
He teaches his clients how to achieve balance in the crazy world of Silicon Valley, training them not only to get fit, but to address the seven primal needs: breath, hydration, sleep, nutrition, love, personal development and movement. Brien has both male and female clients, but has a special interest in helping women who are overcommitted, overwhelmed, and overworked to decrease stress, body fat, and pain, and to improve hormonal balance.
He began personal fitness training in 1991 at the age of 18. He now develops weekly programs for over 1,000 clients and students of all abilities and ages (up to 105 years old). He has written hundreds of articles on various health and fitness-related topics, and is a monthly contributor to Parenting on the Peninsula magazine.
