Eric Kipp is the founder of Hiking Yoga, which offers a unique, social yoga experience by combining the cleansing and heart-healthy cardio of group hiking with the centering and strengthening power of yoga.
As a tour guide for many years, and more influenced by Thoreau, Kerouac, and Muir than Patanjali, he led groups throughout Hawaii, Alaska, and California, until at the age of 30 he found yoga. In 2009, after eight years in the studio creating a solid yoga practice, Eric finally fused his two passions and Hiking Yoga was born.
Eric has been featured in Yoga Journal, the New York Times, Forbes Magazine, and Men’s Journal, as well as on CBS, ABC, Frommer’s, and many other local and national media outlets. He has led workshops and retreats at the Omega Institute, the Esalen Institute, and at conferences, events, and retreat centers throughout the world.
