Hala Khouri has been teaching yoga, movement arts, and complementary disciplines for more than 20 years, with foundational training in Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga, dance, counseling psychology, and Somatic Experiencing.
Along with Seane Corn and Suzanne Sterling, she created Off the Mat, Into the World®, a nonprofit organization inspiring people to be conscious leaders of change.
Creative movement and self-exploration have always been a source of healing for Hala, and her calling to pass this on to others has been clear since she began teaching at the age of 16. She has taught yoga and movement arts in a wide variety of places, including juvenile detention centers, mental-health hospitals, police stations, yoga studios, conference halls, and jungles.
Teaching is her favorite way to help people move through trauma, become more resilient, and lead joyful and meaningful lives. Hala lives in California with her husband and two sons.
