Jerry Colonna, formerly a venture capitalist, has been a certified professional coach since 2007. He draws on his wide range of experience in order to help clients design a more conscious life and to make needed career changes to improve their work performance and satisfaction.
Prior to his coaching work, Jerry was focused on investing in early-stage, technology-related startups, while also making a significant commitment to the nonprofit sector. He worked with the Partnership for New York City to help launch the Financial Recovery Fund, a $10 million dollar grant program for small businesses impacted by the attacks on the World Trade Center.
Colonna serves as a director, trustee, or advisor to a number of organizations and institutions, including, most notably, Naropa University, the only accredited Buddhist-inspired university in North America.
The recipient of numerous awards and a compelling speaker on topics ranging from leadership to starting a business, Colonna has been named to Forbes ASAP’s list of the best venture capitalists and to Worth magazine’s list of the 25 most generous young Americans. A graduate of Queens College, Jerry lives in Port Washington, New York.
