Karen Newell, cofounder of Sacred Acoustics, is an innovator in the emerging field of brainwave entrainment meditation.
As a copresenter of workshops worldwide with bestselling author Dr. Eben Alexander, Karen empowers others with practices such as heart awareness, intention, maintaining neutrality, emotional management, and cultivating internal knowing.
Her lifelong passion to reveal the truth of our ancient past and the significance of sacred sites led her avidly seek out nonconventional sources of history, spirituality, science, and healing. As a result, it became clear to her that direct experience is crucial to true knowing and understanding.
Through her own direct experience, Karen discovered that the most effective aid for meditation—what allowed her to reach the expanded states of awareness she sought—was monotonous sound, simple tones produced by crystal bowls, tuning forks, gongs, chimes, and human chanting. As a result, she joined with Kevin Kossi to create original recordings and listening sessions that invite expanded states of consciousness.
