Kimberly von Brandenstein began as a drawing student over two decades ago when she studied Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain with Lynda Greenberg.
She is a summa cum laude graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and has received numerous awards from the NYU Film Festival for best art direction and film design. She spends part of the year as costume designer/wardrobe supervisor for Ballet Tucson and teaches a full curriculum for private students in Princeton, New Jersey.
She has been faculty of the School of Visual Arts in New York, the Arts Council of Princeton, and Princeton University Art Museum’s children’s program. Kimberly conducts in-service workshops and artist-in-residence programs for art educators and professional organizations such as the New Yorker Magazine. In addition to earning a teaching certificate from Dr. Betty Edwards’ special teaching program at Cal State Long Beach, she studied with Dr. Edwards at the annual New York Botanical Garden’s intensive workshops.
