Robynne K. Chutkan, MD, FASGE, founder of the GutBiome Institute, is author of Gutbliss, The Microbiome Solution, and The Bloat Cure. Educated at Yale and Columbia, she has been on the faculty at Georgetown Hospital since 1997. In 2004, she founded the Digestive Center for Women, an integrative gastroenterology practice that incorporates nutritional optimization, biofeedback, and stress reduction as part of a therapeutic approach to digestive disorders.
In the last few years she has focused exclusively on diagnosing and treating microbial discord in the gut, and she created the GutBiome Institute to facilitate better patient access to microbiome education, testing, and analysis. Dr. Chutkan is passionate about helping her patients live not just longer, but better.
