Sam Jinich is a clinical psychologist, individual and couples therapist, and workshop leader with more than 20 years of clinical experience.
He is director of the San Francisco Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), where he also serves as a certified supervisor, therapist, and trainer. He is also director of the Instituto de Terapia Focalizada en las Emociones in San Francisco.
Born in Mexico City, Dr. Jinich is bilingual and bicultural, and travels to Latin America to teach EFT to Spanish-speaking therapists. With Dr. Michelle Gannon, he leads Hold Me Tight Workshops for Couples to help couples improve communication, connection, and closeness.
His specialty is working with clients who are experiencing emotional distress, have a desire to deepen their understanding of themselves, and want to improve in the areas of communication, conflict resolution, commitment, relationship building, and parenting.
