    Yes, provided that your organization and/or company is mission-aligned and is willing to meet 1440's learning requirements. 1440 welcomes group, meetings, conferences, retreats and social consciousness movements to our campus with pre-approved learning elements that are part of their itinerary. The 1440 Program Planning team will help qualify and organize your needs to meet all campus learning requirements, to include private Signature Class learning experiences; mission-aligned team building activities; guided hikes and group movement classes; or group creative expression activities to name a few.     A group is defined as an overnight gathering of people (typically 10 or more) that wishes to organize a private learning experience unrelated to public programs that may be offered. This can be an organization, corporate event, retreat, leadership training or social gathering where you wish to create your own schedule provided that a mission-aligned learning experience is part of your plan. All group events must be pre-paid in advance with 50% of the overall program costs funded when the contract is executed. What size event constitutes a group?

    Part of the inquiry process for booking a private group or event at 1440 requires answering a series of questions to determine the mission-aligned outcome of your visit to campus. Generally speaking, you must engage in a mission-aligned learning experience (corporate consciousness, leadership training, organizational wellness, professional development, mindfulness, human flourishing, relationship extension, Signature Class participation, etc.) as part of your stay. 1440 is always willing to partner with you to infuse these learning elements into your event agenda or suggest faculty that will help inspire and enrich the world or to create hope for living well for your participants.     Are my attendees required to share rooms?

    Not at all. While 1440 does offer a variety of room types that have two beds, each company or organization contracts their own needs and housing requirements based on the inventory of rooms available at the time the agreement is signed. Any questions regarding housing options by your attendees will be directed back to the organizational contact who signs the agreement. 1440 will answer basic questions related to the types of rooms available that were contracted. Pricing at 1440 is inclusive of not only accommodations, but also meals, learning elements and tuition, therefore is established on a per guest, per room basis unlike hotels where up to four people may share a room at the same price.   Are my attendees required to share rooms?

    Yes; however, there will be an additional cost. 1440's standard package services include all meals which are prepared and served in Kitchen Table for all guests on campus to encourage social conversation and networking among all program participants. Meals for private events are possible in separate venues with advance notice for additional fees, based on availability. 1440 is a nonprofit organization operating from a single location with limited resources (versus a hotel) so please provide ample time to plan and arrange any private event(s) as many considerations must be evaluated in terms of venue, staffing, equipment, menu planning, etc. Can I provide private meals and events to my group?

    1440's goal is to optimize the number of visitors to campus to expose as many individuals to the opportunity to learn as possible. Therefore, classrooms are assigned according to the final number of participants in each class and the requirements outlined by the faculty regarding equipment and supplies needed for each classroom. Some of our classrooms are also equipped with recording and streaming capability, so please be sure to outline your requirements to be assigned to the indoor or outdoor classroom that is best suited to meet your needs.     Why is 1440 a nonprofit?

    1440 Multiversity is a 501(c)(3) learning destination in support of work by the 1440 Foundation - the grantmaking arm of 1440 Multiversity committed to creating hope for living well. Unlike a hotel that operates for profit, all proceeds collected by 1440 are re-invested back into the mission work of the organization through a scholarship and grant program to aid those in need. 1440 Multiversity also believes in community building and advocacy work, so a portion of all packages sold support programs such as Healing Our Healthcare Heroes and feeding food-insecure families in our local community. Why is 1440 a nonprofit?

    Do you partner with travel agencies, meeting planners and other commission-based business models?

    As a nonprofit organization, 1440 may only serve those who are registered to learn. Exemption mandates restrict 1440 from engaging in any commission-based business models due to our 501(c)(3) status. 1440 welcomes support from any organization willing to contribute to our mission work; however, we do not engage in business transactions structured via commission-based payments. Any organization that engages or works with a third-party intermediary must pay for those services directly - 1440 cannot distribute such payments.     Yes. 1440 specializes in helping a group or organization build a content-rich curriculum with elements of social consciousness, mindfulness, integrated health, authentic leadership and more.     Yes. 1440 has strategic working relationships with a variety of faculty and subject matter experts and also offers an authentic leadership course called True North Leadership which may be customized for your group or organization. This course is pre-planned, contains all the curriculum and is easy to coordinate for any group or organization that wishes to build and enhance their program through the 1440 Leadership Center.     Do my local attendees have the option to drive in during my program instead of spending the night?

    Yes. 1440 learning packages are designed to be immersive experiences which means they include overnight accommodations. However, in special cases there is flexibility for some of your attendees to commute to and from your program provided they are registered as "Day Delegates." Day Delegates are provided with a slightly discounted package price; however, there is no option to do so by meal period and all Day Delegates must attend your full program, pay for all meals and participate in all planned learning experiences - the number of Day Delegates is typically restricted to no more than 10 percent of your total expected attendance.     1440 does not publish or list for-profit private events on our public website. However, private landing pages may be created for your event (for a fee) provided enough time to consult and complete the work is appropriate. Groups or private events that contract for overnight accommodations will be provided with a private booking link for a more seamless reservation process. In such cases, a group attendee would enter an exclusive code created for the group by 1440 which will take them to a booking page specific to your group. This private code will be available and active up to 30 days prior to your group arrival before being deactivated. How do I get my private event listed on the 1440.org website?

    Due to our business demands we are unfortunately not able to accommodate a private group signature class or single meal for those not staying overnight. 1440 has established a waiting list for private mission-aligned group events, and because 1440 Multiversity is a nonprofit philanthropic campus, all guests must be participating in a mission-aligned learning activity or program that has been thoroughly reviewed by our 1440 Programming department. We encourage visitors who are interested in exploring our Signature Classes and dining opportunities to visit our Events Calendar at 1440.org/events, which lists upcoming Community Learning Events that often involve a class or meal component.  Can I book one Signature Class/one meal only for my company?

    Yes, with advanced notice to your assigned 1440 Events team member who will provide label instructions. Due to 1440's limited space storage, event materials may not be shipped to 1440 more than 3 days prior to the start of any program, and please note that 1440 assesses a mandatory storage service charge per package, per day, plus any additional labor for all materials outside of these parameters. As a practice, 1440 does not do any room deliveries or other bellhop services, so please take this into account when shipping any materials to campus.  Can I have a package delivered to me while I am staying on campus?

    Pricing at 1440 is based on all-inclusive packages which include accommodations, tuition, signature learning classes and meals and vary by the three types of stays we offer. For instance, final pricing for program-based stays vary and are determined primarily by the tuition amount and the room type each guest elects. Guest who stay for Rest & Renewal have may have varying schedules based on their learning experiences and the stay amount is primarily dictated by room type they choose. Generally speaking, 50 percent of the per-person rate for the learning experience you select accounts for the accommodations and the remaining 50 percent is allocated towards meals, tuition, Signature Classes and learning activities.     The organizer of your event is responsible for room assignments; therefore, 1440 cannot authorize upgrades without their consent. If rooms are available to upgrade to, be prepared to pay a premium as room prices vary by type and location.  Can I upgrade my room when I get to 1440?

    Due to very limited availability, you may only stay at 1440 within the parameters defined by the organization hosting your event. 1440 seeks to optimize the use of campus and does not offer pre-arrival or post-departure stays at this time. There are local options near the 1440 campus and in the surrounding area if you wish to extend your visit to our destination. Can I stay at 1440 before or after my sponsored event?

    What is the schedule on the day I arrive for my program?

    While guests are encouraged to arrive to campus any time after 2:00 p.m., they may not be able to check-in to their accommodations at the Lodge until after 5:00 p.m. If you arrive prior to 5:00 p.m., we ask that you leave your luggage in your vehicle as you approach the Lodge reception area. You will be issued a temporary guest pass that will allow you to enjoy a stroll around campus or take a Signature Class that is scheduled until your room is ready. Once your accommodation is ready, you may exchange your visitor pass for your registration badge when you are formally checked in.   

    Once registered, you may access Kitchen Table for dinner on your day of arrival. Be sure to text "SERVICE" to (831) 498-1944 to immediately receive the class schedule and to make service requests during your stay. 

    Check with your program host to determine if you have an opening-night session to attend. If you plan to arrive late or after dinner on arrival day, please let us know in advance.

    • Enjoy a morning Signature Class and breakfast before your final program session.
    • Be sure to pack your luggage and place your bags in your vehicle by 9:00 a.m. on departure day if you intend to participate in any activity beyond that time.    
    • 1440 guest room keys are programmed to automatically disengage at 11:00 a.m. on your scheduled day of departure. If you feel you need more time, notify the 1440 Guest Services team at the Lodge before 11:00 a.m. to afford you more time to enjoy lunch or take one final stroll of the trails before you depart after your morning session. All such requests will be based on availability and the expected arrival of the next program on your departure day.

    Your event organizer determines the number of participants for their specific program content to provide the best possible social and learning experience for each guest. 1440 does not provide any information regarding private events and programs - for more information contact your program organizer.     What should I pack in terms of necessities?

    1440 recommends guests bring the following items to ensure a more enjoyable stay on campus: Camera, hat, refillable water bottle, sunscreen, notepad, sunglasses, jacket and bathroom essentials. All guest rooms are equipped with bedding, towels, emergency flashlight and an alarm clock. We also provide blankets, yoga mats and yoga blocks for yoga classes on a first-come basis.     What kind of clothing is acceptable on campus and what should I pack?

    We recommend you consult with your program organizer for all dress code requirements. If left to your own discretion, 1440 recommends comfortable clothing for yoga and movement classes and close-toed shoes for walking, hiking and exercising. Keep in mind that 1440 is susceptible to seasonal weather, so depending on your activity intentions it is good to pack layered clothing or jackets for cooler weather.
