Program Description

Experience the deep peace of mind and profound rest of iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation as you train in this integrative healing practice that gently encourages the body’s natural healing and awakening responses.
Accessible and effective, research has proven iRest to support the healing process across a broad range of populations and issues, including those with PTSD, chronic pain, sleep issues, high stress, depression, and anxiety.

Developed over 45 years by Richard Miller, PhD, iRest contributes to psychological, physical, and spiritual health, healing, and awakening. It allows practitioners to overcome unresolved issues and traumas and develop resiliency and well-being by tapping into the underlying source of equilibrium and comfort that is always present, even amidst life’s changing circumstances.

In this Level 1 training, you will learn:

  • The core principles and protocols of iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation
  • Effective methods for delivering iRest Meditation in both group and individual settings
  • How iRest works and the specific healing benefits it can offer
  • How to develop iRest as your own personal practice.

You will leave this training with a restorative practice to enhance your own resiliency and well-being and your ability and confidence to lead iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation sessions. You also have the option to become part of a community of like-minded individuals who teach iRest and are happy to offer support and guidance as you step into your role as an iRest teacher.

Why Attend?

  • Expand your professional capacity for working with those experiencing PTSD, chronic pain, excessive stress, depression, and anxiety by learning a proven evidence-based protocol.

  • Develop your ability to offer efficacy-based meditation for enhancing resiliency and well-being across all levels of body, mind, and spirit

  • Join a global community of teachers offering iRest in yoga studios, sleep clinics, rehabilitation and health-care facilities, hospitals, hospices, prisons, universities, schools, and private practice.

  • Learn to guide yourself and others through an experience of deep rest and renewal while opening access to an ever-present inner space of unshakable calm and equanimity.

  • Develop skills in a practice that naturally complements your existing therapy, mental health, yoga classes, or other offerings, which broadens and deepens your clients’ or students’ experience of well-being, yoga, and/or meditation.

What People Say

"We meet in the celebration of awareness. Here, all movements of mind, body, senses, and world are recognized as direct pointers that reveal our inherent nature, the mystery that underlies all of life, brings an end to suffering, and awakens us to lasting peace."

– Richard Miller

"An encounter with meditation teacher Richard Miller is an encounter you don’t forget. Richard is one of this generation’s most important teachers of nondual wisdom. He reminds us that in our true nature we are already free, enlightened, and awake, and that in any moment we can savor Divine presence."

– Stephen Cope

"Richard’s teachings are like being handed a "hot fudge sundae with whipped cream, nuts and a cherry—slowly enjoying every spoonful and finding God at the bottom of the bowl."
