Working with Difficult Emotions
July 14-16, 2017
Friday-Sunday, 2 nights
Plus 2 nights all-inclusive accommodations priced separately below.
Join master teacher Sally Kempton and discover a radical and transformative yogic approach to working with your difficult emotions. Rather than staying stuck in painful and confusing emotional habits, you can learn to transmute that energy into a pathway toward personal transformation.
Sally, a 45-year practitioner in a tradition of enlightenment, has a unique ability to guide people into both meditative experience and transformative insight.
In this contemplative, heart-centered weekend you will learn:
Through sessions of deep meditation, contemplation, yoga, mantra, movement practice, drawing, and journaling, as well as lectures and opportunities for questions, we will explore the roots of disruptive emotional tendencies. You will learn what to do to recognize and free yourself, moment by moment, from emotions that block you.
You will leave the workshop with tools that redirect the energy tied up in obstructive patterns, energy you can use for the rest of your life as you master turning the poisons of negative or painful feelings into the nectar of spacious inner freedom and power.
Sally Kempton, a former swami in a Vedic tradition, has been practicing and teaching for more than 40 years. Her teachings combine profound knowledge of the texts of yoga and tantra with practical wisdom from contemporary psychology and integral thought.
She is a powerful teacher of applied spiritual wisdom, known for her capacity to kindle meditative states in others, and to help students work with meditative experience as a framework for practical life-change. She teaches retreats, workshops, and teleclasses, and is on the faculty at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, and the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
Sally is the author of Meditation for the Love of It, called ”the meditation book your heart wants you to read” by Spirituality & Health Magazine, and the best-selling book, Awakening Shakti: The Transformative Power of the Yoga Goddesses. Her audio program, Doorways to the Infinite: The Art & Practice of Tantric Meditation, was released in 2014 by Sounds True.
Free yourself from the consuming patterns of negative emotional habits so you can turn that energy toward the positive outcomes you seek.
Live a more easeful, open, and heart-centered life with practical go-to skills for facing challenges and growing spirituality.
