Program Description

Integrate the practice of yoga asana with the timeless philosophy of the Yoga Sutras as you dive into a deeper experience of all that yoga has to offer.

In this 5-day immersion into the physical and contemplative aspects of yoga, you will flow through dynamic yoga sequences—as well as a few restorative sessions—woven together by philosophical threads of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and corresponding applications for everyday life.

Studying standing poses, backbends, inversions, and twisting postures, chanting, and Sanskrit mantras, you will learn:

  • Structural alignment cues for safety and maximum benefit
  • The effects of restorative postures on the nervous system
  • Detailed sequencing and alignment cues for Sun Salutations to prevent injury
  • The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali as a catalyst for personal growth and self-understanding
  • How yoga practice prepares you for the real work of life, which happens on a day-to-day, hour-by-hour basis off the mat.

The great thing about yoga is that you will get out of it what you are willing to put into it. As a result of this immersion, the integrity and inquiry that you bring to each pose can be carried off the mat into daily life as you expand your capacity for growth, fulfillment, and joy.
