Program Description

Your pelvic floor supports some of the most vital physical processes for a long and healthy life, including breathing, balance, hip function, core timing, and more.

This in-depth workshop with physical therapist and professional yoga therapist Shelly Prosko will guide you in building a foundation for lifelong balance and strength through PhysioYoga.

For both men and women, pelvic health issues such as pelvic pain, incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and sexual health are often poorly addressed or left untreated. Shelly developed PhysioYoga from her extensive training and experience, resulting in an effective, evidence-based practice that provides easy-to-use tools to maximize pelvic floor health and overall wellness.

During these five days, you will experience an empowering combination of therapeutic yoga sequences, discussions on yoga philosophy, and physical therapy movements that you can continue at home on your own.

You will learn:

  • The functional, anatomical structure of the pelvic floor and eight roles the pelvic diaphragm plays in overall health and wellness
  • Factors that influence pelvic floor health, including physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and emotional aspects of being
  • Breath and body awareness experiences, movement explorations, and approaches to self-inquiry
  • How to incorporate PhysioYoga into your daily self-care routine.

Get proactive about moving through the stages of your life with more ease, stability, and security. You will return home feeling great, with everything you need to continue to use what you’ve learned at home for ongoing well-being and confidence.

    Must be medically stable, able to get up and down off the floor with ease, and able to maintain standing balance independently, without assistance.
