Mindful Practices for Body, Heart, and Mind

Do you long to have a healthier relationship to food? Through mindfulness-based eating and meditative practices, you can enjoy the ease that comes from bringing your relationship with what you eat back into balance.

Under the guidance of nutritionist Andrea Lieberstein, MPH, RDN, RYT, you will explore foods and activities that nourish you. We will also focus on cultivating mindful awareness of the body through gentle yoga, seated and walking meditation, and non-judgment.

In a nourishing and supportive atmosphere with others who understand your struggle, you will learn:

  • How to discern what you are truly hungry for
  • The right balance between finding food as pleasure and nourishment
  • When you are using food as a substitute for love or out of boredom.

We will also explore the roles of lovingkindness, mindful self-compassion, and nature awareness, as well as the guidelines for healthy living that are necessary to establish a strong foundation for healthy eating. You will leave with the skills you need to integrate mindfulness into your daily life.
