Program Description

Freedom from Pain is a 5-day retreat that utilizes multiple effective pain, health, and athletic modalities to help you thrive in your daily and active life.

Many people are drawn to this specialized 1440 Freedom from Pain retreat because they have chronic pain and their bodies are demanding a change-pain is a BIG motivator. However, pain is not a prerequisite-the retreat is also ideal for movement professionals who come for the love of learning and serving others.

Dr. Mike Lane, DC, and Brian King have over 30 years of combined experience in bodywork, teaching, and helping people achieve Freedom from Pain. They teach accessible, safe movement modalities that take you from being limited by pain to living the life you want. These movements enhance both strength and mobility, so you feel confident and resilient.

During this experience, you will learn how to reconnect with and trust your body by developing movement strategies to specifically meet your needs at work, home, gym, bike, road, court, and field. You'll get stronger and more attuned to your body's signals, identify and change habits that contribute to pain and injury, and create personalized self-care programs to continue at home.

Through interdisciplinary workouts, AnatomySense talks, group discussion, and one-on-one, hands-on therapeutics, you will learn:

  • How to create space for a healthy spine and happy joints
  • Injury prevention
  • Anatomy and physiology of pain and healing
  • Improved posture and performance
  • Increased balance and awareness.

This retreat is designed for every "body"-desk jockeys, weekend warriors, movement lovers, movement professionals, and body nerds-looking for more effective ways to manage pain and regain an active lifestyle for yourself and your students/clients.

Join us on the leading edge of movement science.
