Program Description

Quiet the mind and let the heart open while chanting in the tradition of Bhakti Yoga with Grammy-nominated chant artist Krishna Das.

Fans throughout the world know him as KD, and because of his down-to-earth presence you will feel as though you're hanging out with longtime friends in a comfortable living room. In this gathering of dedicated seekers and those new to the practice, KD will chant and, with gentle humor and a harmonium in his lap, humbly share anecdotes from time he spent with Maharaj-ji in India, Ram Dass, and the Dalai Lama.

These stories about the seeker's path are imbued by the same basic questions that stand the test of time: how do we live a good life, how do we become good human beings, and how do we deal with the fear we live and breathe every day.

Through call-and-response chanting, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions, you will learn how to:

  • Open your heart through the power of mantra chanting and fill your whole body with the joy and ecstasy of connection with spirit
  • Experience the exponential power of prayer when done in a group
  • Break down who you think you are and connect to presence: the vast space that we are sitting in
  • Make space around your thoughts and reactivity so you get a conscious vote about how you experience life.

Whether you chant with KD often or this is your first time, come hear your own unique voice blend with other voices like a drop of water in the ocean. Return home with guidance and renewed inspiration for continuing the practice.
