Program Description

Zentangle is an easy-to-learn, relaxing, and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. On the surface, it may look simple. But in practice, it is a doorway to focus, presence, and imagination-a means by which anyone can awaken the artist within.

Join Martha Huggins and Molly Hollibaugh, members of the Zentangle founding family, to discover and enjoy all that the Zentangle Method (and you!) have to offer. Over the course of this weekend you will:

  • Learn the eight steps of the Zentangle Method and take a closer look at the magic behind the one stroke at a time approach to pattern drawing
  • Cultivate gratitude, joy, and appreciation through an unconventional form of meditation
  • Focus on specific tangle categories and hone in on techniques and perspectives that break down the visually complex into basic steps
  • Discover the fun and healing in creative expression: expand your imagination, trust your creativity, and respond confidently to the unexpected.

From the chaos of organic tangles to the order of grid-based tangles, this class will deepen your understanding of the method and sharpen your tangling skills. Leave with gratitude and appreciation for this beautiful world and all that you can do!
