Andrew Holecek, Author and lucid dreaming expert

Andrew Holecek is an author and authority on meditation, lucid dreaming, dream yoga, and death and dying.

As a longtime student of Buddhism, he presents this tradition from a contemporary perspective—blending the ancient wisdom of the East with modern knowledge from the West. Drawing on years of intensive study and practice, he teaches on the opportunities that exist in obstacles, overcoming the hardship of pain and death and dying, and deepening meditation. Known as an expert on lucid dreaming and the Tibetan yogas of sleep and dream, he guides students drawn to these powerful nocturnal practices.

Andrew is the author of numerous books, including Dream Yoga: Illuminating Your Life Through Lucid Dreaming and the Tibetan Yogas of Sleep; Dreams of Light: The Profound Daytime Practice of Lucid Dreaming; and Meditation in the iGeneration: How to Meditate in a World of Speed and Stress. He also created the audio program Dream Yoga: The Tibetan Path of Awakening Through Lucid Dreaming.

He offers talks, online courses, and workshops in the United States and abroad.

Andrew has completed the traditional three-year Buddhist meditation retreat and holds degrees in classical music and biology, as well as a doctorate in dental surgery. He is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. His work has appeared in Parabola, Lion's Roar, Tricycle, Utne Reader, Buddhadharma magazine, Light of Consciousness, and many others.
