Betsy Polatin, MFA, SEP Breathing and movement specialist
Betsy Polatin is an internationally recognized breathing and movement specialist. She has been teaching for more than 40 years and is currently a master lecturer at Boston University's College of Fine Arts.
As a well-known educator, Betsy's work is featured on ABC TV and Fox News and published in the Huffington Post. She is the author of The Actor's Secret and the forthcoming Humanual, a manual for being human.
Betsy leads international trainings in her unique Actor's Secret program, which blends the Alexander Technique, Carl Stough's Breathing Coordination principles, Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing, and the teachings of spiritual and meditation masters. Her background includes movement education and performance, as well as training in music, dance, yoga, meditation, and the healing arts.
Betsy has taught master classes for the Psychotherapy Networker, Performing Arts Medicine Association, and International Yoga Conference in Japan. She's been featured at the United States Body Psychotherapy, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Boston Ballet, and the American Red Cross.
