Caroline Pfhol, Contemplative practitioner, Dharma Ocean lineage holder

Caroline Pfohl is prime lineage holder in the Dharma Ocean lineage and is spiritual director of the Dharma Ocean Foundation along with Dr. Reggie Ray. A student and practitioner of Integrated Manual Therapy, a method of integrated mind-body healing, she grew up traveling and living in Asia, learning Mandarin and Cantonese, and discovered her first meditation retreats as a teenager in Singapore. She has trained with Daoist, Qigong, and Chan masters throughout her life.

For the past 12 years, Caroline has worked with Dr. Reggie Ray in developing new bodies of teaching and practice-furthering Dharma Ocean's somatic work, the body of bodhicitta teachings and practices, the path of relationality, consort practice, and other forms. As Desung (Protector of Joy) for the community, she has been named Reggie's spiritual successor.

Caroline also holds a master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a master's degree in international relations from the London School of Economics, and a bachelor's degree from Wellesley College. She has led two private foundations and has provided strategic planning for multinational corporations and NGOs. In addition to Dharma Ocean, Caroline oversees the Hemera Foundation. Dedicated to supporting contemplative views and practices and their integration into ordinary life, Hemera focuses on dharma and secular education, children, and the arts.

Meditating with the Body® Part Two
October 27 - November 1, 2019
Meditating with the Body® is an enriching five-month, in-depth training developed by Dr. Reggie Ray that focuses on a series of powerful body-based meditation practices drawn from Tibetan yoga. Taught by skilled somatic practitioners, Caroline Pfohl and Manuela Mischke-Reeds, this program is the second of two residential retreats. They are bridged by a rewarding at-home curriculum for becoming proficient in this life-changing form of somatic meditation. The practice of meditation that is taught in this course, and the profound transformations it brings, can allow you access to the inner resources necessary to show up fully in your life, your community, and most of all, in your own body.
