Kimberly Carson, MPH, C-IAYT  Mindfulness educator and yoga therapist

Kimberly Carson, a mindfulness educator and yoga therapist at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), specializes in the therapeutic use of mindfulness and yoga for seniors and people living with medical challenges. She has taught Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) for over 20 years, and her yoga and mindfulness programs bring relief to chronic pain, cardiac, oncology, and internal medicine patients.

Co-developer of the Mindful Yoga program-shown in research trials to significantly reduce pain and fatigue in those living with chronic pain-Kimberly has coauthored over 30 peer-reviewed articles. She has co-directed national professional trainings for yoga teachers and allied health professionals at OHSU, Duke Integrative Medicine, VA centers, Kripalu Center, and other locations around the country.

Kimberly coauthored Relax into Yoga for Seniors and the forthcoming Relax into Yoga for Chronic Pain.

In addition to her tapestry of professional roles, Kimberly humbly navigates the waves of parenting twin teenagers, three cats, and a miniature long-haired dachshund while feeding the neighborhood crows every morning.
