Richard Miller, PhD, C-iRest, E-RYT 500 Creator of iRest® Meditation, psychologist, spiritual teacher

Dr. Richard Miller is a clinical psychologist, author, researcher, yogic scholar, and spiritual teacher. For the past 45 years he has devoted his life and work to integrating the ancient nondual wisdom teachings of yoga, Tantra, Advaita, Taoism, and Buddhism with modern Western psychology and neuroscience.

The founding president of the educational nonprofit Integrative Restoration (iRest) Institute, Richard is a recognized force in bringing the healing practice of yoga nidra to all segments of the population. He is also the cofounder of the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT), the founding editor of the professional International Journal of Yoga Therapy, and a founding member and past president of the Institute for Spirituality and Psychology.

Author of multiple books on yoga and meditation, including The iRest Program for Healing PTSD, Richard serves as a consultant researching iRest's efficacy on health, healing, and well-being with diverse populations, including active-duty soldiers, veterans, survivors of human trafficking, youth, seniors, the homeless, and the incarcerated.
