An Ideal Immersion Environment
While 1440 Multiversity runs its own workshops, we do consider hosting large groups of 75 guests or more for seminars, symposiums, and other events that clearly resonate with our mission—to serve as a school for better living—and our curriculum in the fields of Personal Development, Health and Wellness, and Professional Development.
Located in Scotts Valley, California, near Santa Cruz, which is known for its beautiful weather, redwood forests, and gorgeous coastlines, 1440 Multiversity’s expansive 75-acre campus is ideal for teachers, organizations, and companies seeking a setting conducive to immersive learning.
With picturesque woodland trails, winding streams, outdoor amphitheaters, and many other highlights, the campus experience is at once peaceful and enlivening, offering a variety of gathering spaces and quiet spots for introspection, all set amidst the magical redwoods.
Classrooms and Meeting Spaces
1440 Multiversity’s campus offers ten spacious classrooms, each outfitted with the latest audio-video teaching technology, as well as a space that seats up to 750 people in a plenary session and several outdoor meeting spaces.
A variety of accommodations fit a wide range of budgets, from dorm-style rooms to private rooms and suites. All are comfortably appointed to support each participant’s program experience. While guest rooms do not have phones or televisions, all are equipped with Wi-Fi access.
Most rooms have two double or queen size beds and private or hall bathrooms. Participants who come alone and reserve a shared room will be paired with a roommate of the same gender. Included with accommodations are all meals, daily yoga and meditation classes, non-ticketed evening events, and the use of our state-of-the-art facilities.
1440 Multiversity’s on-campus housing can currently accommodate up to 375 guests. Once our maximum capacity is reached, we can facilitate booking additional participants in nearby hotels.
Dining and Food Service
Meals are all freshly prepared and served at the Kitchen Table, where participants can eat inside by the fireplace or al fresco, overlooking the forest canopy. Daily menus feature delicious, healthy options and a variety of cooking styles, all highlighting natural and organic plant-based ingredients and sustainable sources of animal protein, with gluten-free and lactose-free options.
Before or after your scheduled sessions, participants are welcome to enjoy a variety of meditation, yoga, and other body-centered classes available throughout the day, as well as educational and entertaining evening events.
Participants may wish to book a treatment from our Healing Arts center, where massage and other bodywork treatments offer them more ways to integrate their experience. The center features many treatment rooms, separate changing rooms with lockers, steam rooms, private showers, and a spacious patio with a large infinity-edged hot tub perched over the forest and creek below.
Cafés and Shops
For a comfortable respite between sessions, two campus cafés offer an assortment of beverages, snacks, and treats. Both cafés offer indoor and outdoor seating; one also offers wine and beer.
Two campus shops offer an array of inspirational and gift items, as well as products for wellbeing, from meditation cushions and yoga props to books, videos, and CDs, many from our faculty.
