Designing Your Life: Workshops, Programs & Coaching at 1440
A dynamic framework to help you Live Well, Designing Your Life (DYL) is the New York Times best-selling book based on the methodology that Stanford Life Design Lab co-founders Bill Burnett and Dave Evans developed, and is taught in a class of the same name at Stanford University. DYL challenges the idea of a single “right” passion or path; instead, it encourages participants to identify what energizes them and design multiple pathways forward.
As a DYL Certified Workshop Provider, 1440 Multiversity facilitates immersive DYL learning sessions at our philanthropic campus in the redwoods. Mindful that we each have 1,440 minutes in a day, we use educational tools that spark insight, foster creativity, and empower you to feel a deeper sense of joy and purpose in your holistic life.
Get "Unstuck" with Immersive Curriculum
Designers create worlds and solve complex problems using design thinking — why not apply that same framework to designing a life where you can truly thrive, at any age and stage? The Designing Your Life methodology has been used by millions as a widely embraced approach to personal and career planning, using principles like brainstorming, prototyping, and continual iteration to help individuals build fulfilling, meaningful lives. It recognizes that you can’t solve your future without data — and that even those who’ve “figured it all out” can still feel stuck.
1440 Multiversity offers a range of DYL learning experiences — from immersive multi-day programs to customized group and individual offerings — designed to meet your unique goals and support your life design journey. Through shared learning with a community of like-hearted individuals, and engaging workshops that offer tools, exercises, and a practical model, DYL helps participants gain clarity, gather insights, and take meaningful next steps.
