Guided Nature Hike at 1440

About This Learning Event

Set out on a reflective walk through the redwoods to 1440’s Cathedral and majestic Mother Tree—standing for over 1,000 years. Along the way, explore the wisdom traditions of various cultures and their timeless connection to the natural world, while learning about the ecology of the forest that surrounds you. Whether you journey outside or gather indoors for a nature-inspired discussion, you'll leave with simple, grounded practices to support your well-being. This experience invites you to slow down, connect with nature, and feel restored by the stillness of the redwoods.

After the hike, gather for a nourishing, locally sourced dinner at Kitchen Table—thoughtfully prepared by the 1440 Culinary Team to restore and delight. Discovery Dinners at 1440 offer space to reconnect—with the earth, with others, and with yourself.

1440 is a philanthropic campus, and each booking contributes to serving our community by providing scholarships and volunteer services in support of creating hope for living well.
