About This Learning Event

Wonder Well in the redwoods as you engage in Lunch & Learn at 1440 Multiversity, a new offering designed to help you find inspiration out of curiosity.


In this inspiring Lunch & Learn, join longtime TPMG Chief of Physician Health and Wellness for Kaiser Sacramento and Roseville, Dr. John Chuck, for a workshop called Hope - Journey to Joy and Growth. This lighthearted and insightful session integrates writing prompts, drawing exercises and introspection to leave you feeling energized and optimistic for all of your life's journeys. Dr. Chuck is a regular faculty member at 1440 Healing Our Healthcare Heroes cohorts and is widely respected for his compassionate, humorous and relatable approach to life and wellness. Following the workshop, dine on a delicious, sustainable and locally sourced lunch at Kitchen Table featuring global cuisine prepared by our 1440 Culinary Team. Deeply nourishing and highly enjoyable, Lunch & Learn at 1440 provides a fulfilling opportunity to gather with purpose and connect with yourself and other like-hearted community members.


1440 Multiversity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and private philanthropic campus - proceeds from all tickets purchased support our 1440 philanthropic initiatives and community building efforts, and help feed families in our region. Thank you for creating hope for living well.

Lunch & Learn Schedule:

  • 9:30 a.m.: Arrival & Registration
  • 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Hope - Journey To Joy & Growth workshop with Dr. John Chuck
  • 12:15-1:00 p.m.: Lunch at Kitchen Table; sustainable, locally sourced and mindfully prepared
  • 1:00 p.m.: Campus Departures

$75 per person, includes lunch at Kitchen Table


Lunch Menu:

  • Due to the seasonality of the sustainable ingredients we source from local farms, the Kitchen Table lunch menu will be available and posted approximately one week prior to the event date.


Event Notes:

  • The start time of the class is 10:00 a.m., and guests may check into campus up to 30 minutes before the class start to enjoy our Lodge Retail ShopBridge of Intentions and Common Grounds Patio. Other areas of campus will be unavailable, and guest departure time is 1:00 p.m. following lunch.
  • If you have any mobility concerns or needs, please contact inquiries@1440.org so we may do our best to make your visit comfortable.
  • This is an indoor event, held in one of our ventilated classroom spaces.
  • We recommend that you bring a light jacket or layers as temperatures may be cooler beneath our redwood canopies.
  • 1440 will provide any equipment or materials required for this class.
  • Reusable water bottles are welcome -- filtered water stations are available throughout campus.
  • Due to the seasonality of the sustainable ingredients we source from local farms, the Kitchen Table lunch menu will be available and posted approximately one week prior to the event date. A plant-based option is always available.
  • Kitchen Table offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, including outdoor covered seating options, to practice social distancing.
  • This is an 18-and-over event.
