Healing Our Education Communities
RISE to Heal Our Educator Workforce

Coming Together to Restore Inspiration & Sustain Educators

“Our personal buckets are depleted. The ripple effect of stress has taken a toll on the mental health and wellbeing of everyone in education.” — District Superintendent and RISE Advocate

The Restoring Inspiration & Sustaining Educators (RISE) program provides teachers and education professionals with the opportunity to step away from daily demands and focus on their well-being. Through guided practices, peer connection, and a supportive environment, participants gain tools to manage stress, reconnect with themselves, and build lasting resilience. Offered at no cost to the participant, this program honors the essential work of education professionals by helping them return to their roles grounded, renewed, and better equipped to support their communities.

An Urgent Need for Support

An Urgent Need for Support

The education system is in crisis and educator wellbeing is at the center of it. According to a 2024 RAND survey, 60% of K-12 teachers are burned out, 7% quit in 2023-24 alone, 29% more are considering leaving, and 40% are eyeing careers outside education entirely. The pipeline is struggling to keep pace: over 411,000 teaching positions are currently unfilled or staffed by teachers not fully certified for their assignments, roughly 1 in 8 positions nationwide. The effects land squarely on students: classrooms with teachers who leave mid-year can lose 32 to 72 days of instructional time, and research shows that students' cortisol levels spike in tandem with their teachers' burnout, a sobering reminder that what happens to educators happens to children too. When we fail to care for the people who care for our children, we don't just lose teachers, we lose the conditions in which students can truly learn, grow, and thrive
