Discover new possibilities for midlife April 25-27 at "Learning to Love Midlife" - a weekend workshop with midlife expert Chip Conley. Learn how to embrace this stage as a time for growth, fulfillment, and personal transformation.
Are you feeling bored, stuck, bewildered, or overwhelmed? You're not alone, especially in your 40s, 50s, or 60s. Welcome to midlife, a time when many of us feel restless and disenchanted. But, new research shows that after a temporary bottoming-out of life satisfaction, we often start feeling more content and alive in the core and latter part of midlife. And, Becca Levy from Yale has shown that when we shift our mindset on aging from a negative to a positive we add seven and a half years to our lives.
Chip Conley is the world's leading midlife activist having spoken on the TED stage about the "midlife chrysalis" and written a 2023 bestselling book called "Learning to Love Midlife: 12 Reasons Why Life Gets Better With Age." As the founder of the world's midlife wisdom school, MEA (Modern Elder Academy), Chip is helping to demystify and elevate midlife as a life stage of profound personal transformation.
It is rare for Chip to lead a weekend workshop as he primarily teaches week-long programs at MEA's campuses in Baja and Santa Fe, NM, so this is a wonderful opportunity for you to tap into this new way of thinking about midlife.
During this experience, you will:
Who attends Learning to Love Midlife?
If you've followed Chip's journey as a pioneering boutique hotelier and "modern elder" to the young Airbnb founders, you might have heard about his latest venture, MEA. However, you may not have had the chance to visit the campus or explore MEA's online courses. This is your chance to experience an accessible, immersive workshop based on MEA's curriculum while soaking in the beauty of the Santa Cruz Mountain redwoods with "awe walks." Ideal for those in their 40s, 50s, and 60s (though open to all), this workshop offers a powerful catalyst for life changes.
