Lunch & Learn at 1440: Meditative Journaling

About This Learning Event

Start your morning with a calming guided meditation to center yourself and connect inward. Next, you'll engage in a mind-clearing exercise and explore journaling prompts that help you commune with your innermost self and gain insights for your daily life. You'll then be invited to express your reflections creatively with an assortment collage materials, stickers, colored pencils, and more. If inspired, share your insights and art in a relaxed 'show and tell' at the end of class. 

Afterwards, enjoy delicious, sustainable and locally sourced lunch at Kitchen Table featuring global cuisine prepared by our 1440 Culinary Team. Deeply nourishing and highly enjoyable, Lunch & Learn at 1440 provides a fulfilling opportunity to connect with yourself and other like-hearted community members while creating hope for living well.

Price: $65 per person, includes lunch at Kitchen Table


Lunch & Learn Schedule:

• 10:00 a.m.: Arrival & Registration
• 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Meditative Journaling with a 1440 Experience Instructor
• 12:30-1:30 p.m.: Lunch at Kitchen Table; sustainable, locally sourced and mindfully prepared
• 1:30 p.m.: Event Conclusion & Departures

Lunch Menu:

• Solterito Salad: Quinoa, Frisee, Lupini Beans, Cherry Tomato, Rancho Gordo Hominy, Mint, Queso Fresco, Cilantro Lime Vinaigrette
• Aji Amarillo Halibut Tacos: Cortido Slaw, Mango Pico de Gallo, Wok Seared Red Onions, Tomatoes, Bell Peppers, Cilantro
• Margarita Cookie: Prickly Pear Glaze, Maldon Salt, Lime Zest (Gluten Free, Plant Based, Nut Free)

Event Notes:

• The start time of the class is 10:30 a.m., and guests may check into campus up to 30 minutes before the class start to enjoy our Lodge Retail Shop, Bridge of Intentions and Common Grounds Patio.
• 1440 will provide any equipment or props required for this class.
• Reusable water bottles are welcome -- filtered water stations are available throughout campus.
• Due to the seasonality of the sustainable ingredients we source from local farms, the Kitchen Table lunch menu will be available and posted approximately one week prior to the event date. A plant-based option is always available.
• Kitchen Table offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, including outdoor covered seating options.
• This is an 18-and-over event.

Cancellation Policy: Participants may request a refund up to 7 days before the event. After this period, all sales are final. All proceeds from Community Learning Events support our 1440 philanthropic and volunteer efforts.
