Dr. Krueger, who was listed in
The Best Doctors in America annually from 1996 to 2002, practiced and taught psychiatry and psychoanalysis, and was clinical professor of psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine.

Where's your happy place?
My ranch, where I go on weekends to be in nature and among the critters, including a herd of axis deer.
When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Growing up on a farm and working outdoors, my goal as a small boy was to have a job where I worked inside an air-conditioned building and wore a tie. Later, that evolved to becoming a physician.
