1440 Multiversity has been selected as the site for a multi-year case study dedicated to corporate social responsibility, employee wellness and human flourishing. The research will be performed by an educational institution and the resulting best practices of the study will be published and made available worldwide for public use to optimize health and human performance for all.
This is an exciting opportunity for our organization to inspire and enrich the world. At the same time, we ask for your support as availability of traditional weekend Rest & Renewal stays, workshops and other programming will be limited and offered exclusively via our Events Calendar.
1440 has established a waiting list for private mission-aligned group events and continue to support our flagship advocacy programs such as Healing Our Healthcare Heroes, True North Leadership and Healing Our Education Communities in support of our philanthropic community building efforts. If you would like to provide a grant, donation, or support any of these important initiatives, please email CreateHope@1440.org.
Please accept our deepest gratitude for your continued support and understanding of this important research – an impactful way to commemorate our five-year anniversary this May! And to our dedicated 1440 staff: Thank you for your grace, resilience and commitment to forming an authentic community that expresses deep hospitality through a genuine love for our guests and one another.
Rolf Gates, one of the leading voices of contemporary yoga in the West, is the author of two acclaimed companion-to-practice books: Meditations from the Mat: Daily Reflections on the Path of Yoga and Meditations on Intention and Being: Daily Reflections on the Path of Yoga, Mindfulness, and Compassion.
To be practiced properly, every aspect of yoga must be understood in this light. Satya—"truthfulness" or "honesty"—is the second of the five yamas. It begins with our ability to reflect honestly on our own inner life and our own felt experience.
