Discover Stick Fitness with Dr. Arthur Faygenholtz, DC, an innovative and playful approach to personal health and wellbeing. Stick Fitness incorporates the use of rattan, bamboo and liquid sticks to explore new and novel stretching techniques while using natural movements to benefit posture, cardiovascular health, coordination, balance, strength and more. Learn new skills toward improved physical fitness and brain health and have a lot of fun with Dr. Arthur while practicing.
Following your session, join us in Kitchen Table for a delicious, locally sourced meal prepared by the 1440 Culinary Team. Connect with likehearted community members while learning new ways to Live, Lead, Love, Work and Wonder Well.
1440 is a philanthropic campus, and each booking contributes to serving our community by providing scholarships and volunteer services in support of creating hope for living well.

Discovery Dinner Schedule:
- 4:00-4:30 p.m.: Arrival & Registration
- 4:30-6:00 p.m.: Stick Fitness Class with 1440 Experience Instructor Dr. Arthur Faygenholtz, DC
- 6:00-7:00 p.m.: Dinner at Kitchen Table; sustainable, locally sourced and mindfully prepared
- 7:00 p.m.: Event Conclusion & Departures
Price: $75 per person, includes workshop materials and dinner at Kitchen Table
Dinner Menu:
- Due to the seasonality of our ingredients, the dinner menu will be posted approximately one week prior to the event.
Event Notes:
- Guests may check into campus up to 30 minutes before the class start to enjoy our Lodge Retail Shop, Bridge of Intentions and Common Grounds Patio. Please note that other areas of campus—including trails not part of the guided hike and the jacuzzi tub—are unavailable to Community Education Class guests due to other scheduled programming.
- This is an outdoor event, held in one of our open-air gathering spaces.
- 1440 will provide everything required for this class.
- Reusable water bottles are welcome -- filtered water stations are available throughout campus.
- Kitchen Table offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, including outdoor covered seating options.
- This is an 18-and-over event.
Cancellation Policy: Participants may request a refund up to 7 days before the event. After this period, all sales are final. All proceeds from Community Learning Events support our 1440 philanthropic and volunteer efforts.
