About This Learning Event

Discover the healing power of plants in this hands-on class with 1440 Adjunct Faculty Member Jackie Christensen. Learn how to craft immune- and digestion-boosting teas, calming herbal bath blends, and natural remedies to support sleep, relieve tension, and gently flush toxins from the body.

 

Active, introspective, and rejuvenating, this Community Education Class & Discovery Dinner experience ends with a nourishing, globally inspired meal at Kitchen Table—sustainably sourced and lovingly prepared by our 1440 Culinary Team. Come connect with yourself, others, and the natural world while creating hope for living well.

 

1440 is a philanthropic campus, and each booking contributes to serving our community by providing scholarships and volunteer services in support of creating hope for living well.


Time: 4:00-7:00 p.m.


Price: $75 per person, includes class, materials, and dinner at Kitchen Table


Class & Dinner Schedule:

  • 4:00-4:30 p.m.: Arrivals and registration
  • 4:30-6:00 p.m.: Home Herbal Remedies with 1440 Experience Instructor Jackie Christensen
  • 6:00-7:00 p.m.: Dinner Education at Kitchen Table
  • 7:00 p.m.: Departures


Dinner Menu:

  • Due to the seasonality of our ingredients, the lunch menu will be published approximately 1 week prior to the event.


Event Notes:

  • The start time of the class is 4:30 p.m., and guests may check into campus up to 30 minutes before the class start to enjoy our Lodge Retail Shop, Bridge of Intentions and Common Grounds Patio. Please note that other locations of campus, including the trails and jacuzzi tub, are not available for Community Education Class guests due to other campus programming.
  • 1440 will provide any equipment or props required for this class.
  • Reusable water bottles are welcome -- filtered water stations are available throughout campus.
  • Kitchen Table offers ample indoor and outdoor seating, including outdoor covered seating options.
  • This is an 18-and-over event.


Cancellation Policy: Participants may request a refund up to 7 days before the event. After this period, all sales are final. All proceeds from Community Education Classes support our 1440 philanthropic and volunteer efforts.
