Dan Mulhern, Expert on leadership and organizational culture

Dan Mulhern is a nationally recognized expert on leadership and organizational culture. He has worked with a wide range of organizations, from start-ups to Fortune 500 companies and from government entities to nonprofits. He has 20 years' experience in executive coaching and executive team consultation, which followed 15 years in leadership positions in government, nonprofits, and business.

Dan has coached and presented at companies like Ford, Google, and Facebook, but also delights in work with nonprofits like Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit, AmeriCorps, and Legal Aid Chicago. As a committed public servant, he has provided leadership training to women ascending to positions of governor, attorney general, and senator.

He is the author of Everyday Leadership: Getting Results in Business, Politics and Life; Be Real: Inspiring Stories for Leading at Home and Work; and coauthor of A Governor's Story: The Fight for Jobs and America's Economic Future.

In 2012, Dan shifted his focus to LeadingX2, understanding how to build extraordinary partnerships and capitalize on their incredible power. Dan's research demonstrates that the partnership of two, or the dyad, is pervasive and practicable, yet was not being taught. He now researches and works closely with powerful dyads: cofounders, CEO and COO, president and provost.

As a public speaker, radio personality, writer, professor, coach, and consultant, Dan has inspired thousands to lead as their best selves. He was voted by students the most exceptional teacher at UC Berkeley and received the Earl F. Cheit Award as outstanding undergraduate instructor at the Berkeley Haas School of Business.
