Master Yang Yang, PhD


Master Yang Yang is one of the few individuals recognized within the traditional taiji (tai chi) and qigong community as a master practitioner and teacher.

Traditionally trained under several of the top qigong and tai chi masters in China, he is also an academic researcher interested in applying the highest standards of the Western scientific process to explore and promote evidence-based wellness programs.

A leading advocate of qigong and tai chi research and practice, Dr. Yang has lectured at many top clinics and medical-research and health organizations, including the Mayo Clinic, the Cleveland Clinic, Harvard Medical School, and the National Institutes of Health.

Master Yang Yang is the founding director of the Center for Taiji Studies, a clinical specialist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, and the author of the highly acclaimed book Taijiquan: The Art of Nurturing, The Science of Power.
