Creativity is not a luxury. Two decades ago, Julia Cameron published her groundbreaking book The Artist’s Way, a course in discovering and recovering your creative self. Beloved by more than four million people worldwide, the course is credited with having helped them find and express their authentic creativity in their life and work.
Join us for this very special immersion course with Julia Cameron herself and jump-start your creative process—or deepen your already existing work as an artist. You will learn:
Stop telling yourself “it’s too late.” Stop waiting until you make enough money to do something you love. Stop believing “it’s just my ego” whenever you yearn for a more creative life. Stop pretending that dreams don’t matter, that you should be more sensible. Stop fearing that your family and friends will think you’re crazy.
Working with a combination of experiential exercises, lecture, question and answer sessions, and readings, you will experience an intensive, guided encounter with your own creativity—your private villains, champions, wishes, fears, dreams, hopes, and triumphs. As Julia says, “The experience will make you excited, depressed, angry, afraid, joyous, hopeful, and, ultimately, more free.”
Julia Cameron has been an active artist for more than three decades, with more than 35 published books, ranging from her best-selling The Artists Way, which has sold more than four million copies, to her widely praised and hard-hitting crime novel The Dark Room.
She has also published volumes of childrens poems and prayers as well as a memoir, Floor Sample. She is a master of writing about, and guiding others through the mysterious and sometimes rocky terrain of the creative process. Her follow up bestsellers to The Artists Way The Vein of Gold, Walking in This World, and Finding Water are taught in universities, churches, human-potential centers, and even in small-group settings in the jungles of Panama.
Credited with founding a new movement that has enabled millions to realize their creative dreams, she is an award-winning poet, playwright, and filmmaker, as well as a songwriter, and she has multiple credits in theater, film, and television. Her newest publications are The Artists Way for Parents and The Prosperous Heart: Creating a Life of Enough.
