About This Learning Event

Hosted by UCSF Alumni and UCSF Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, this session will discuss how psychedelic-assisted therapy can relieve suffering in depression and PTSD based on new clinical trials. It will also explore how they may work with insights from brain imaging studies by the leading neuroscientist in this area and a pioneer in our understanding of the power of awe, how they can be culturally adapted and help reduce racial trauma by the leading therapist in this area, and further exploration of psychedelics and mental health from one of the pioneers of this method, with decades of experience in indigenous wisdom who is now training the next generation of therapists.
