    No. 1440 is an immersive learning destination and all programs are packaged to include meals, tuition, accommodations, and signature learning classes. To build collaborative communities, 1440 requires all program goers to engage in social activity and learning as part of each program; therefore, you must register having purchased an entire program package.    Is it possible for me to just pay the tuition and attend a workshop without purchasing a package?

    Commuters attend and pay for the full program, including tuition and all meals; however, they are not provided with overnight accommodations. In order to purchase a commuter package you must (i) be a local resident or (ii) overnight accommodations at 1440 must be at full capacity.     Yes; however, you must book a Rest & Renewal package which will differ from your package price for the program itself and is based on availability. Guests booked under Rest & Renewal do not have access to attend any other private program workshop session(s) on campus - only those you are registered to attend. All Rest & Renewal packages include meals; daily Signature Classes; non-ticketed evening events; and use of the private trails, fitness center and infinity tub.

    • While guests are encouraged to arrive to campus any time after 1:00 p.m., they may not be able to check-in to their accommodations at the Lodge until after 4:00 p.m. If you arrive prior to 4:00 p.m., we ask that you leave your luggage in your vehicle as you approach the reception area. You will be issued a temporary guest pass that will allow you to enjoy a stroll around campus or take a Signature Class that is scheduled until your room is ready before dinner. Once your accommodation is ready, you may exchange your visitor pass for your Rest & Renewal registration badge when you are formally checked in.   
    • Once registered, you may access Kitchen Table for dinner on your day of arrival. Be sure to text "SERVICE" to (831) 498-1944 to immediately receive the class schedule and to make service requests during your stay. 
    • Most opening-night program sessions begin at 7:30 p.m. If you plan to arrive late on arrival day, please let us know so we can be sure to accommodate your needs.

    • Enjoy a morning Signature Class and breakfast before your final program session.
    • Be sure to pack your luggage and place your bags in your vehicle by 11:00 a.m. on departure day if you intend to participate in any activity beyond that time.    
    • 1440 guest room keys are programmed to automatically disengage at 11:00 a.m. on your scheduled day of departure. If you feel you need more time, notify the 1440 Guest Services team at the Lodge before 11:00 a.m. to afford you more time to enjoy lunch or take one final stroll of the trails before you depart after your morning session.

    Comfortable clothing for yoga and movement is acceptable in all classrooms. Slip-on shoes for indoors and shared bathrooms are recommended as are alternative shoes for walking, hiking and exercising.  Keep in mind that 1440 is susceptible to seasonal weather, so depending on your activity intentions it is good to pack a swimsuit for Healing Arts in addition to layered clothing or jackets for inclement weather.  What kind of clothing is acceptable on campus and what should I pack?
